Molly Phegley, from Wendi Orenstein's 3rd grade class at Nell Holcomb School, grew this hefty cabbage through the "3rd Grade Cabbage Program" sponsored by Bonnie Plants out of Union Springs, Alabama. Each spring Bonnie Plants sends seedlings for the students to grow. In the fall students harvest their cabbage and enter their hefty harvest in a contest to win $1000 scholarship.
