Believing Beyond -- The Nolan Weber Foundation was recently presented with a BIG Check from some boys with a HUGE heart. The SEMO Elite Bening Mazda Bombers (a U10 soccer team from Southeast Missouri), held a fundraising event last September in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the late Nolan Weber. The event titled Goals for Gold, was a great success. The players collected pledges for each goal that the team scored over a tournament weekend in September. The team scored an amazing 23 goals in four games over the weekend to raise a total of $1,050.00 for the foundation (www.believingbeyond.org). Nolan's parents were honored to share a little of Nolan's spirit and love of soccer with them when they presented the check recently. The team was excited to learn that the money they raised benefited a family battling childhood cancer. The team is planning to make this an annual event.
