The City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host the Girl's Summer Basketball League for junior high and high school teams. School teams or traveling teams are welcome. There will be a division for junior high teams, freshman teams, junior varsity teams and varsity teams.

Games are tentatively scheduled to be played every Thursday from June 6 through July 25 with no games on July 4. Each team will play at least eight games.

Game will be comprised of two 20-minute halves with a continuous clock except for the last two minutes of each half. An adult coach must present for each team during every game.

The league's registration deadline is May 30. The team fee of $225 and the team's roster and participation waivers must be submitted by this date. Checks should be made payable to the City of Cape Girardeau and mailed along with the registration forms to the Osage Centre at 1625 N. Kingshighway.
