Local hard rock band DRIvIN' RAIN will preform July 3rd at The Arena Park Grandstands as part of the July 4th Celebration. The band will be part of the three-day Independence Day festival sponsored by USA Veterans July 2 through 4 at Arena Park.
The festival will kick off July 2 with a concert by country star Darryl Worley. Concert tickets are on sale now at the Arena Building and online at www.usa-veterans.org.
A demolition derby will be held July 4, and the festival will close out with a professional fireworks display.
DRIvIN RAIN recently signed with Nashville Based FnA Records. The band plays original music fro mtheir last two albums. Along with their hits "Alaw Against Me" and "Hellwater".
Since Drivin Rain was formed in 1994 they have opened for and toured with some of the biggest names in Metal and Rock. Sharing the stage with the likes of Steppenwolf, Nazareth, Queensryche, Tesla, Dokken, Skid Row, L.A. Guns, UFO, Y&T, Saxon, Firehouse, Keel, Dangerous Toys, The Kentucky Headhunters, Rufus Thomas, Tora Tora, Enuff ZNuff, and many others.
Over the years DRIvIN' RAIN has preformed at many rock fest, including The 2008 South Texas Rock Fest, The 2009 South Texas Rock Fest, The Tommy Bolin Festival, City Of Roses Music Fest, Thunder Of Gods Festival Texas, River City Music Festival, Bonestock, Metal Fests, The Azalia Fest, Riverfest, The Spirit Of Oz Fest, Monster Of Mayhem, Main Street Meltdown, Heart For Life, and many others.
DRIvIN RAIN currently features singer Timexx Nasty, bassist Skully Shemwell, drummer Geep Clark and new guitarists Nicky V and Eathen Ebbs.
Singer Timexx also sings for the band Herman Ze German with ex Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell. Bassist Skully Shemwell recently starred in several feature films, including "Miller's Tale", and "Dark Road". Drumemr Geep Clark is a former member of the metal band Lizzy Borden (aka: New York Rocks) and DC Tryal.
Other bands will be announced along with another National Headliner that could be added soon.
