On Saturday, Nov. 19th, the Delta Student Council made their annual trek to West Park Lanes in Cape Girardeau to volunteer at the Special Olympics Bowling Tournament. Thirteen of us had the amazing opportunity to work with our favorite athletes as they competed in the Southeast Area Bowling Tournament. The Delta students love their interactions with these Olympians as they always have an amazingly positive attitude and show us what it means to be true sportsmen. We are already looking forward to joining these athletes again next November as they show us what true sportsmanship is all about. The Delta Student Council will once again be having a Polar Bear Plunge team this year to raise money for the Special Olympics. We raised over $4000 last year, have a goal of $5000 this year, so if you know a Delta High School Plunger help them out as they try to help out these amazing athletes.
