What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?

I have served on the Board before. I firmly believe in being an informed and involved member. I have 3 children within the district and have always had a good relationship with the faculty and staff.

What do you see as the opportunities and challenges in the district?

There is no limit to the opportunities of our district. The challenge is budgeting and managing our existing programs and finances. We need to improve on what we have and make it the best it can be, not lose focus when new things come along. Every penny needs to be used in the best way to benefit our children's education.

How will you communicate your work to your constituents?

Communication is key in any relationship. I personally believe in communicating face to face, but any form is welcome and encouraged. The only way to have an involved community is to have an informed one.

What are the factors on which you will base your decisions as a school board member?

My decisions will be made based on both the information before me and the benefit to our children. I have served on the board before and stay informed of the issues both past and present that may aid in future decisions. I also like to discuss school issues with anyone interested so I know what the community is feeling.
