The Delta High School Student Council hosted a mock presidential debate on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Senior Lydia Borneman played the role of Hillary Clinton and Junior Adam Hodge played the role of Donald Trump. The candidates answered questions about education, healthcare, ISIS, immigration, the Supreme Court, guns, abortion and their fitness to be the next president. We were joined by Congressman Jason Smith who described his political beginnings, the importance of voting, and described his job as Congressman and then answered questions and signed autographs. The debate was attended by the 5th-12th grade students from the Delta School District.
