"Dangerous Rhetoric: The Erosion of Argument in American Political Debate"

This event is Friday Ocotber 21, 2011 at 7PM.

This preliminary event would begin with a speech by Matt Lawyer of approximately 30 minutes including some short video clip evidence outlining outrageous and outright dangerous claims by all political sides within the last 3 years. The purpose of this speech is to bring to light how inflammatory and ambiguous comments can mislead the American people and discourage healthy debate. The idea is to facilitate an entry into a public forum where students and members of the community can share their opinions on this subject and identify possible solutions. The event would last 90-120 minutes and is open to everyone.
