Last Saturday was the hottest day of the year, but you couldn't tell Izaac Pursley of Jackson that. After 4 hours of sitting in sweltering heat and humidity while the St. Louis Cardinals played the New York Mets. Izaac was not going to let the heat get him down because after the game he was going to meet Curtis Granderson, the Right fielder of the New York Mets! During the meeting a special moment happened. Izaac has a book written about his life called "A New Kind of Normal" written by Dr. Greg Pursley and Curtis wrote a book called "All You Can Be" They exchanged books and autographs.

Curtis posted the picture below on his facebook page and typed "I don't typically get autographs but I received one from Izaac Pursley while in St Louis. Izaac is an awesome 7 year old boy who was born with dwarfism. He autographed his book for me (A New Kind of Normal) and I autographed my book for him (All you can Be)."

Curtis and Izaac are both exceptional people from different walks of life. Curtis rose through the ranks to become a MLB all star while keeping his character and ego in check. Izaac was born with dwarfism and physical disabilities but has fun and loves life anyway. I believe we can all learn a few things from these two people.
