Cape Central High School's Calvin Lovig will be heading to Bolivar, MO this fall to play football for Southwest Baptist on an athletic scholarship. He is pictured above with his mother and father, Mike and Kimberly Lovig, seated, signing a letter of intent. Standing are Cape Central High School Athletic Director Lance Tollison, left, and Football Coach Nathan Norman. "Calvin was a tremendous student athlete for Cape Central," Coach Norman said. "He was very easy to coach and always willing to do the little things to improve his game. Calvin will be a great asset to his team in college and we wish him only the best in the future." Coach Norman and Cape Central Football Staff reported the following statistics for Calvin Lovig: 31/33 PATs; 8/13 FG; 37 average 58 long Punts. He was the 1st team all SEMO Conference punter and kicker in 2012.
