SIKESTON- The Christian Women's Luncheon group of Sikeston and the surrounding area gathered Monday, November 3rd at La Villetta Restaurant, Sikeston for lunch, fellowship, and an encouraging word given by Ava Huffstutler.

Ava, a former librarian, opened her testimony in the reading of a poem which was the beginning of her message; God's love, absolute knowledge and forgiveness. She said "We can quickly leave 'the upper room' and fail the Lord as the disciples did". However, Ava remarked, "God was not caught by surprise neither by what they did nor by what we do. Ava's observation was that man's problem to restoration is in not forgiving himself for his guilt and failure. Ava concluded by saying "If a holy God can forgive us, then who are we to not forgive ourselves?
