The Cape County Tea Party meeting will be on August 18 at 6:30 pm at the Cape Public Library. This month our speaker will be Rachel Payton, with Americans for Prosperity-MO. She will speak about AFP's Path to Prosperity initiative and their 2015 Legislative Scorecard. Americans for Prosperity is a grassroots organization with 34 state chapters, focusing on economic freedom and limited government. AFP fights for free markets and tax reductions and against increased spending and regulations and against cronyism. As Deputy State Director, Rachel leads lobbying efforts, directs social media strategies and coordinates grassroots outreach.
Rachel has B.A.'s in History and Political Science. She began working on campaigns in 2000 and discovered that campaigning was in her blood. She has worked in the District office of U.S. Congressman Kenny Hulshof and for a public policy law firm in Jefferson City.
Rachel has a wealth of information about what is happening in our State and we are lucky to have her at our meeting. Everyone is welcome.
