Cape County Associate Commissioner District 1; August 2016
Cape County faces job retention and opening up employment opportunities within its communities. Evaluating the roads in Cape County and develop a plan to create safer, more well-kept roadways. Listening to needs and concerns of residents, community members, in order to establish an open line of communication, working toward a solution. Safety is our top priority. We strive to make our roads and bridges a desirable aspect, attracting new individuals and families into the area.
If elected, I will oversee conservative spending on projects while revamping and establishing a work-within-budget method. I will make sure to provide our employees with top-rated, proven products to create road and bridge construction as well as maintenance. I also believe in keeping our business local as well. I would encourage employees to check with our local businesses before reaching out and purchasing materials or bids from out of the Cape County area.
Attracting businesses, revenue, and families into our communities is important. I want to communicate with businesses to help them connect for future innovation into the region and to scout locations for their business site or facility to create jobs. As well as maintain a working relationship with the ones here now.
If elected, I will evaluate situations, with the best interest of the taxpayers in mind, in order to develop a plan for improvement and a solution. I plan to use conservative, common sense methods to develop solutions for county problems. I am honest and loyal and will work closely with the engineer to ensure that county spending is as-needed for the taxpayers of Cape County.
I would greatly appreciate your vote on August 2.
