The HVAC-R program is run by CTC Instructor Fred Brown. The curriculum is a two- year program serving 15 to 18 students ranging from adults to high school juniors. It is popular with students working toward an associate degree in the HVAC field because 36 credit hours can be earned and expanded thorough Southeast Missouri State University or Mineral Area College.

To earn accreditation, the HVAC-R program submitted a self-evaluation to demonstrate that it meets the required standard and then participated in an intense onsite review by the accreditation team. CTC works in unison with higher education partners to provide affordable access to post-secondary education.
