PRESS RELEASE
CAPE COUNTY TEA PARTY
MONTHLY MEETING
On April 15th, 2014 at 6:30pm, the Cape County Tea Party (CCTP) will hold its open monthly meeting at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. The meeting is called the Third Tuesday Tea Time and is held on the Third Tuesday of each month to continue the work to complete our Mission as stated below.
Independent MD:
Dr. Mike Wulfers will speak on a new method of health care delivery -- the concierge doctor. Dr. Wulfers has started Independent MD.
IndependentMD, a direct primary care practice (also called a concierge practice) provides medical services to a limited number of patients who pay a monthly fee. Everything the doctor does in his office is covered by this fee which results in affordable and very individualized primary care. Because the practice size is limited, they are able to uniquely focus on each patient by giving more time, when needed, without outside influences. They actually encourage questions and can accommodate same-day scheduling with little or no wait. Complete, high-end primary care that is confidential, fairly priced, and convenient, imagine that!
They do not accept commercial insurance, Medicare or Medicaid and this benefits both the patient and the doctor by exclusively focusing on the interaction between patient and doctor with no interferences.
Dr. Wulfers graduated Summa cum Laude in 1975 with a BS in Chemistry from Southeast Missouri State University and completed Medical School in 1979 at the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. Until recently, he practiced at Cape Girardeau Physician Associates. He and his wife Mary have one son, Matthew.
