Jamal Cox's basketball skills will pay off next year when he enrolls for classes at Lamar State College on a basketball scholarship! During his time at Cape Central High School, he received over 1,340 career points, 9.1 rebounds per game, and 19.7 points per game.
Pictured sitting with Jamal is his mother, Laurie Cox and Head CHS Basketball Coach Drew Church. Standing, left to right, are CHS Athletic Director Lance Tollison and CHS Principal Dr. Mike Cowan. "I am very proud of Jamal, He has worked hard to become a high level basketball player and a wonderful young man who represents our school and community very well. It has been a pleasure to coach him and I know he has great things in store for the future. He leads by example and is very humble. I have a lot of confidence he will succeed at the next level in basketball and whatever he chooses to do in his life after that," said Coach Church.
