The Cape Central High School Scholar Bowl Team, known locally as the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), finished in first place at their weekend invitational tournament, defeating Poplar Bluff in the championship game. Joshua Sander led the team in scoring, as the CIA lost only one of five games on the way to the championship. For the day, Central defeated Saxony, Jackson, and Notre Dame before finishing off the Mules 290-180 in the finals. Kelsey Martin, Lizzie Nussbaum, Sushil Sobti, Brooke Baugher and Chelsey Caudle also competed for the Tigers, who have finished first in five of their last seven tournaments. The CIA sports a team record of 31-8 for the season. Pictured above, front row, are Chelsey Caudle, Brooke Baugher and Sushil Sobti.
