What is the financial state of Bollinger County, and how can it be improved?

I wouldn't know what the accurate budget for the county is, without looking at the numbers, but I do know that paying the health care fine is money thrown away. One way to fix this, is either finding insurance or dropping some employees to part-time to get below the full-time employee amount.

Are there any specific actions you think the county can take to encourage job growth?

Yes, Chamber of Commerce needs to work more with the county commission in seeking employers to come to the county. New businesses need incentives to want to come to the county, ie reduced taxes.

What is your biggest priority for Bollinger County?

We have no business opportunity for our youth to stay in Bollinger County and work. So there is no sales tax revenue. Also Maintenance of our roads. If we can get businesses in to the county our taxes will increase and we will be able to work on getting our roads built up the way they need to be. Our money needs to be spent in Bollinger County.
