Harmony Creek, a local Christian band, is presenting a free concert and asking for donations to benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates of Southeast Missouri, Inc. Harmony Creek, a local Christian band, is presenting a free concert and asking for donations to benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates of Southeast Missouri, Inc. The concert will be held on August 16, 2009 at the New Mckendree Methodist Church, South Campus at 6:30 pm. This talented band consists of Hannah Rice, Kelsey Gjerstad and Hannah Walker, all of Jackson, who created the band through their friendship developed at church.

"We are excited and thankful that Harmony Creek has decided to perform this concert" says Revonda Kirby, Executive Director of CASA. "We are always looking for anyway we can spread the word about the plight of abused and neglected children and the need for a program like CASA. This concert will not only help raise awareness but funds to help us recruit, train and support more volunteers to serve more children!"

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Southeast Missouri provides training for volunteer advocates for foster children in Bollinger, Cape and Perry counties. Last year CASA only had resources to serve 96 out of the 230 children. Donations and volunteers are in constant need.
