Are you paying too little tax? Guess what. Politicians and Businesses in Cape County think you need to pay more. And, next Tuesday, April 8th, they're asking you to vote to increase your taxes to "level the playing" between local and out-of-state businesses.
Are they really trying to tell us... ...if citizens pay more taxes, there will be prosperity? Isn't that what Washington, DC tells us?
Politicians in Cape County have raised taxes at least 3 times in the last 4 years, and they've placed at least another 3 tax increases on the ballot. They collected a brand new $2,000,000 from the Casino in 2013 and will collect $3,000,000 in 2014. The Restaurant Tax has retired the related debt, yet they keep that tax in place to have another $1,000,000 per year to spend.
When will it be enough?!? Never.
Politicians always think they can find more and better ways to spend your money. They're asking YOU to tighten your belts. How about they tightened theirs?
You can bet Politicians and Businesses are urging their employees to get out and vote on Tuesday. Are you going to let them take more out of your wallet?
Plain and simple, if you stay home, your taxes go up. Tell them enough is enough; Come out on April 8th and vote NO!
