My Mother, Trudie Knupp or as she is known by the kids "Nanny" Knupp plans an annual Fall Hayride with food, drink and fun every year around Halloween. This year was special because it fell on my Dads birthday, October 18th. ~*HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD*~
My Mom and Dad are a blended family having raised a few his/hers and ours kids. Since the size of our family has grown so large Nanny finally decided to rent the Anniston, MO community building. This was the first year she hosted it in town, in years past it was held on their property which is located just outside of Anniston, in Devener. Normally we ride through Anniston pulling the hayride and picking up many Anniston kids along the way. This year Nanny posted flyers announcing the event and inviting any one interested to join in our family celebration.
There was much food, and candy, along with the hayride around town. Residents were stirred from their easy chairs by screaming kids and the blasting horn of Paw-Paw's truck as the Fall Festival goers creeped through out the small town.
I myself had a wonderful time watching all of the smiling faces of the children, and the young at heart. Every child should have wonderful memories to pull out and look back on or to share with others once they become an adult.
THANKS to Nanny, Paw-Paw, Aunt Mee-Mee and all the others who donated time, food and etc. to make this day a super special memory for all who attended.
