What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?

I have been involved with the Advance School system, both personally and as a parent for over 40 years. I graduated in 1984, and my husband and sons all graduated from Advance. I know the quality of education personally. I have been a member on the school board for the past three years. Children have always been my highest priority, and I feel that I am s strong advocate for all children in our district.

What do you see as the opportunities and challenges in the district?

I am very proud of our newly constructed FEMA safe room, and the staff of our district. I am concerned with the recent actions of legislators in Jefferson City.

How will you communicate your work to your constituents?

I believe that communication is an integral part of a successful school district. I am always available for questions and comments, and I take that role very seriously.

What are the factors on which you will base your decisions as a school board member?

Faith, integrity, trustworthiness, and honesty are factors that are very important to me. I strive to lead by example to ensure the children of our district receive the highest quality education possible.
