A Small World Daycare is partnering with Modern Woodmen of America to help children enrolled in their preschools in Jackson and Cape develop a strong sense of civic and community pride through a kids club program. The club leaders chose to take the kids to the Veterans Home and present veterans with cards and poppies to say "thank you" for their service to our country. While there the kids met veterans and learned a vital lesson in patriotism and service to our country. "The kids clubs are designed to help kids become better citizens and involved in their local communities" said Bob Houchins, the sponsoring agent for Modern Woodmen. "This outing is just one of the many activities kids will participate in on a monthly basis as a part of the kids club." he added. For more information on the kids club program contact Bob Houchins at 275-4901.
