WORK -- WORK -- WORK Where is the fun?
Who is always looking for fun things to do on the weekend? YOU!
RSVP/VIC (a not-for-profit organization that finds volunteers for local agencies from young people to those retired) is hosting a fundraiser. All agencies are feeling the pain from budget cuts, and RSVP/VIC is no different. This crazy activity is being held to raise some funding for this organization which will benefit the RSVP/VIC Volunteers ( our "everyday" HEROES) in providing services to other organizations and HEROES in our communities.
It is called the Horseshoes 4 "everyday" HEROES Tournament and will be held on Saturday, October 10 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Al Friga Farm located between Chaffee and Oran (Off of Highway 77, County Road 248). Cost is $25.00 per person/$50.00 per team (2 person team). The event consists of wooden horseshoes being played at 18 different pit obstacles which include ringing a double EE bra, a pair of gigantic panties, a toilet, kiddie pool filled with beer cans, etc., etc. Yes, this is a redneck fundraiser and requires no skill, just plain o' luck. We would love to have you join us for a day filled with fun. Food - 2 Sides Grillin' (great barbeque), Beer - Kohlfeld Distributing, and other beverages will be available for those attending. T-shirts will be on sale too. Party Tent will be on the premises as well as DJ Tom Music/Karaoke (sing your heart out).
