The Cape Girardeau Jaycees are hosting the 17th Annual BBQ Fest at Arena Park on August 21st and 22nd. Nearly 40 teams will be competing in the KCBS (Kansas City BBQ Society) sanctioned event for top awards in techniques and taste.
Exciting additions to the BBQ Fest will be a Craft Homebrew competition for beer, live music performed by Doug E. Rees and Friends, a silent auction, and plenty of vendors to satisfy your thirst and tastebuds.
BBQ and Brew Fest will be open to the public beginning at 6:00pm on Friday, August 21st. The Cape Jaycees invite all to check out one of the area's best kept secrets. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Jaycees Toybox Campaign which provides toys for families in need at Christmas. Admission is free of charge for spectators.
