THE PUBLIC MIND: DISMAY EXPRESSED OVER ITIMIDATING ACTS

Open Letter to Citizens of Cape Girardeau:

We as concerned citizens of Cape Girardeau publicly express our dismay over any proposed White Supremacist, or any other type of ethnic intimidation, activity in our city.

This is counterproductive to our efforts to improve racial respect and understanding in our community. The cultural diversity of all Americans is extremely valuable and should be celebrated.

Any proposed activity is in direct opposition to the respect that is the basic right of all people. Pride or satisfaction should never be gained through the oppression and degradation of others.

By working cooperatively we can dramatically improve the lives of every Cape Girardeau citizen.
