THE PUBLIC MIND: WHY LET LAWYER LEAD HEALTH CARE REFORM?

To the Editor:

I heard on the radio Thursday where President Clinton was expected to name his lawyer wife, Hillary Clinton, as the person in charge of health care reform. I presume that her qualifications are that she once visited a doctor.

As a Boy Scout I once built a model rocket. Therefore, I am applying for the job as director of NASA. Nepotism lives.

Putting a lawyer in charge of changing health care is tantamount to making Jack The Ripper surgeon general.
