To the editor:

All things considered, after the elections of 1992 and 1994, the Contract With America, the public opinion polls, the battle over the balanced budget and health care reform along with the rhetoric and political posturing of the Republican candidates, it seems most likely that what America wants is a dramatic change without entailing dramatic change.
