LETTERS: SPIRITUAL VALUES ARE THE KEY

To the editor:

David Limbaugh's commentary in the April 28 Southeast Missourian regarding the Columbine massacre in Littleton, Colo., was surely the most honest and truest from a religious standpoint of any suggested solution yet.

His descriptive words of students being captured by the spiritual reality of evil -- and his fine suggestion of the only means to restore respect for life is to turn to God, the author of life -- was by far the only perfect solution.

Limbaugh's belief that children must be taught spiritual values by their parents cannot be exceeded in excellence.

My hope, then, is that Limbaugh's excellent advice will sink deep into the hearts of everyone as a solution in preventing further massacres of any nature to ever happen again.

How nice it is for me that I can reflect on my beautiful religious home life that much resembles Limbaugh's perfect solution of love, compassion and the love of God in preventing further crime of any nature.

What more could be greater than the promise of eternal life?
