LETTERS: TOBACCO, GUN LAWSUITS: WHAT'S NEXT?

To the editor:

The suit against gun manufacturers gives us an idea of how to get millions of dollars more.

Let's sue auto makers whose cars murder thousands each month, though the auto makers don't mean for them to kill. But gun makers don't either. So don't sue one manufacturer alone.

Let be honest for a change. This suit probably will cost gun makers a dollar or so a gun. It would probably cost auto makers less than 33 cents a car.

This would work. That is what happened to U.S. cigarette smokers as a result of the lawsuits against cigarette manufacturers. It's costing me and millions of pleasure smokers to pay so darn much more for our pleasure and stress reduction.
