Local Pop Artist Jimmy Gockel artwork to be featured at SwissArtExpo

Jimmy Gockel of Cape Girardeau announced today that the Artbox Jury has chosen his artwork Dali, as Semi-Finalist for the SwissArtExpo to be held in Zurich, Switzerland 15-19 August. As Semi-Finalist Jimmy's painting will receive a special presentation at the exhibition and he will further receive publication of his artworks through the Artbox Gallery catalogue.

Jimmy, creator of Gock Art, is an upcoming emerging artist who took up art as a hobby only three years ago. Nevertheless, he has already gained quite a bit if notoriety and success in his short career. His artwork, inspired by the 1960s psychedelic pop era, convey bright colours and interesting motifs that immediately attract the viewer's attention. Jimmy stated " I am extremely proud to have my artwork chosen for such a prestigious event as the SwissArtExpo and am very grateful for the opportunity to share my paintings with the world.
