Zoellner Construction Raises Funds for Habitat for Humanity

Steve and Gail Zoellner of Zoellner Construction present a $2,662 check to Dr. Jeff Long, president, Cape Area Habitat for Humanity

Zoellner Construction’s Annual Appreciation Luncheon and Shooting Competition on May 4 raised $2,662 for Cape Area Habitat for Humanity. Steve and Gail Zoellner presented the check to Dr. Jeff Long, president of Cape Area Habitat’s board of directors.

Zoellner Construction began operations in 1982 and is a commercial and industrial general contractor with offices in Perryville and Cape Girardeau. Son Matt Zoellner joined the company in 2004 and daughter Jill Holzum in 2010.

Zoellner can self-perform a large portion of any project with its own excavation equipment, multiple cranes and lifts and its newest addition: a concrete pumping truck.

Zoellner has received the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Safe Performance Award for the Southwestern Division as well as the Business & Ethics Award of the Missouri Services Professionals, St. Louis Division. Zoellner performs projects not only in Missouri, but in Texas, Illinois, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Alabama.

Cape Area Habitat is grateful for the support of Zoellner Construction. The local HFH affiliate has built 50+ homes, including one in Perryville. Habitat’s vision is “a world where everyone has a decent place to live,” by providing a hand up, not a handout.
