Cape resident Valerie Wondrick attended the 100th running of the Indy 500 during Memorial Day weekend. Joining Wondrick were family members from Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Fort Wayne, Indiana. "It was epic on so many levels. The attendance was mind boggling at an estimated 350,000. The winner Alexander Rossi won by coasting to the finish line running out of fuel and he was a rookie! It was my first Indy 500 and the best one to attend I know," Wondrick said.
