Saturday hours at Jackson's recycling center change Nov. 3

Jackson Public Works has announced the Saturday operating hours for the recycling center during the fall and winter. The center will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., beginning Nov. 3 through March 30. Normal operating hours will remain the same through the week, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The recycling center is at 508 Eastview Court. The following items are accepted: cardboard, newspaper, magazines, office paper, junk mail, Styrofoam, grocery bags, clear, green and brown glass, all plastic containers, aluminum, tin and steel cans, batteries and electronic waste. For more information, contact the Sanitation Department at 243-2333 or the Public Works Department at 243-2300.
