Southeast Percussion Pops Family Concert

Southeast Missouri State University's Percussion Ensemble Family Holiday Concert brings in an audience of more than 750 each year. On Saturday, May 5, 2012, 10:30a.m. the Percussion Ensemble will perform a similar 'spring version' of their annual Holiday Concert.

The Southeast Missouri State University Percussion Ensemble and Steel Drum Band, under the direction of Shane Mizicko, will present the Percussion Pops Family Concert on Saturday, May 5, 10:30a.m. in Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall. Modeled after their Family Holiday Concert this concert is also geared towards families with young children and will include music and slide shows from popular movies such as Star Wars, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Madagascar, and The Lion King. In addition to the Southeast Percussion Ensemble, the Jackson High School Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Chris Crawford, will also be performing popular and exciting 'kid' friendly repertoire. The concert will last for approximately one hour with a $1.00 suggested donation for ages 6 and up. There will be complimentary face painting prior to the concert and balloons after the concert.
