Sunday, August 14, 2011
The bidding war for the former federal building in Cape Girardeau continued Saturday, with the highest bid now sitting at $625,000. That amount is up from Friday's bid of $605,000. Saturday's bid extended the auction until 10:59 a.m. today. The GSA has declined to comment on the identities of the bidders. The GSA's suggested bidding price of the 44-year-old building on Broadway is $900,000. The public auction page is available at http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/aucindx/.
