Dexter woman to be part of Convoy of Hope

A Dexter, Mo., woman, Laura Davis, is about to embark on a journey of the heart. She will be part of the upcoming Convoy of Hope in Shreveport, La. The Convoy of Hope, grants an opportunity for people below the poverty level to receive help in a number of areas, even in having family photographs made or by providing haircuts or manicures. Davis hopes to put her photography skills to work by providing each family she helps with a 5-by-7-inch family photograph. The goals of Convoy of Hope are to provide help and hope to people in need in the United States and around the world through children's feeding initiatives, community outreaches, disaster response and partner resource. Convoy of Hope is considered a first responder organization in disaster relief.
