Route DD bridge in Scott County to close for improvements

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Work to replace the Route DD bridge over Little River Drainage Ditch No. 36 in Scott County is expected to begin Nov. 1, weather permitting. The road will remain closed from Route Y to Route Z as construction continues. Completion is anticipated in late December. In addition, construction of the Route Z bridge at Vanduser, Mo., is expected to begin Oct. 25, with completion anticipated in November. Signs and warning devices will be in place, and motorists are urged to use caution while traveling near the areas.
