Thanks to memorial volunteers

The officers and members of the Corporal Mason O. Yarbrough Detachment of the Marine Corps League wish to publicly thank the following members of the community who made contributions in support of the Sept. 11 memorial ceremony conducted by the detachment at Freedom Corner in Cape Girardeau.

Many people who observed all or parts of the daylong ceremony have made a point of thanking our members and complementing us for a job well done. We must also thank Mayor Harry Rediger, fire chief Rick Ennis, police chief Carl Kinnison and the bagpipers as well as several other firemen and policemen for their support, participation, and contribution to the success of this Sept. 11 memorial.
