Robin Carnahan Campaign Stands Up To Fox News

Today, Robin Carnahan's Senate campaign filed a motion to expedite to resolve Fox News' unnecessary lawsuit as quickly as possible. Fox News has sought to prevent Missourians from watching a clip of an interview in which its own Chris Wallace questions Congressman Blunt about the secret provision he slipped into a Homeland Security bill for tobacco giant Philip Morris and his ties to convicted felon lobbyist Jack Abramoff. But the Robin Carnahan campaign is continuing to run the ad on television and has kept it available online [www.robincarnahan.com/cleanup]

"We're not backing down. We're fighting this lawsuit. And nobody - not Fox News, and certainly not Congressman Blunt - is going to stop my campaign from telling the truth and holding Congressman Blunt accountable for his record,"said Robin Carnahan. "We're going to keep showing this ad on TV and online because we believe Missourians deserve to hear the truth."

The use of news clips is nothing new in campaign ads. In fact, even Congressman Blunt uses campaign videos that include footage from a variety of cable news networks including Fox News. Fox's unprecedented move, and its past support for Congressman Blunt, has already raised questions about the motives behind the lawsuit. The motion to expedite was filed in the United States Court for the Western District of Missouri on Monday morning.

Robin - instead of "fighting Fox" why don't you fight the health care bill that cut $500 billion from Medicare??? You supported those cuts. I guess now you fight "Fox" and "seniors" both? You'll be a rubber stamp for Obama. Hope you lose in November so seniors can win...

Doug who ever you are sounds like you have been hooked up to the old FOX misinformation nipple to long. No money is being taken away from MEDICARE or seniors. Changes made to the system aim at prolonging it, and will do just that if not repealed by the stooges you have elected to affiliate with. Your comments say more about your limited capacity for research than they do anything else, I have advise for you my man: read more and listen to FOX less.

Money is being taken away from MEDICARE and seniors (read the bill dude - 1/2 trillion cut). Changes made to the system by the stooges you have elected to affiliate with aim at hurting seniors, and will do just that unless repealed by Republicans.
