Cape County 4-H Members Attend State Shoot

Seven Cape County 4-H Members attended the State Trap Shooting Sports Contest in Columbia on August 28th.The members are led by Dale Todt, certified leader for the shotgun discipline and met twice a month at the Apple Creek Conservation shooting range. Members must complete at least 10 hours of instruction, which also includes a mandatory 6 hour safety training before they can compete at the state contest. Shooting Sports is the largest 4-H project in the state of Missouri. The second portion of the state contest will also be held in Columbia on Sept 18th. Disciplines offered in Cape County are Air Rifle, .22 Rifle, Shotgun, Archery and Muzzleloading.
