Traffic to be reduced to one lane on Kingshighway
Tuesday, May 24, 2005
Southbound traffic on South Kingshighway will be reduced to one lane, weather permitting, beginning Wednesday, Missouri Department of Transportation officials said. The lane closure is necessary as construction of a new Silver Springs Road/Kingshighway intersection continues, officials said. Motorists are urged to slow down and obey the signs in the work zone on the busy highway, MoDOT officials said. At the same time, construction crews plan to reopen the closed northbound lane, once again providing two lanes of northbound traffic. Lappe Cement Finishing Inc. of Perryville, Mo., is the contractor on the $1 million project.
