Local Cape Girardeau Veteran Larry Bill Continues Independent Campaign for Congress

Second Amendment advocate Larry Bill gaining another signature at a gun show.

Larry Bill is continuing his independent run for Congress by combining personal grit and modern technology. Mr. Bill and his small band of volunteers are going door-to-door gaining signatures to put him on the ballot. If successful, the effort will allow Mr. Bill to bypass the primary race and run in the general election as an independent.

Larry is also placing emphasis on blogging, electronic news articles, and his website. Bill claims he must do this because, based on his insistence to use only his personal funds to campaign with, he has had to replace special interest dollars with creativity and hard work.

Bill laments, "Wouldn't it be nice if our Congressional representatives would also replace special interest dollars with creativity and hard work?"

"I've been disappointed with the race so far, because my competing candidates (and I) have used petty and disparaging remarks about each other. We need frank discussions about our society and solutions to be put on the table. These frank discussions will truly test our populace on their commitment to correct our nation's problems."

Mr. Bill has outlined multiple frank discussions and proposed solutions in his website:

We need to acknowledge how personally dependent our populace is on federal largess:

We need to recognize that problems are inter-related. For example, as the federal reserve prints more money, the price of gasoline goes up. Lack of term limits in Congress saddles our legislature with aristocratic personalities dependent on special interest support:

Take a few minutes and look at the website. Thanks to the Southeast Missourian for putting this and other candidate articles on their site.
