Former Cape Central High School musicians tour China

Cape Central High School Orchestra Director Steven Schaffner and some of his former students performed on the Great Wall of China May 26 while on tour with the Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra during its first-ever international concert tour. Under the direction of conductor Dr. Sara Edgerton, the orchestra performed concerts in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and on the Great Wall. The Orchestra departed for China May 23 and returned June 1. Participants included approximately 30 Southeast University students, along with five community members, four faculty, several board members, parents and patrons.
