Minimum wage has spiraling economic effect

To the editor:

in response to the story "Teens and the election: Minimum wage most important issue to many local youths": These children want to raise the minimum wage, but look carefully at what would happen.

That fast-food $4 meal would probably go to the $6 now charged in Alaska. Everything else would rise accordingly, making it harder on people who are elderly and on fixed incomes.

Then the children would be right back where they are right now. Can they handle that decision? I hope so, if it comes to pass.
