Enforce the laws of the land

To the editor:

I am heartsick that our elected officials in Washington won't do anything to prevent what amounts to a takeover of our western and southern states by illegals of all nationalities. Who would have thought that our state, national and local officials would allow illegal aliens of all nationalities to wave foreign flags and say they want rights? When did foreigners get the right to vote in our elections without being citizens? It makes me sick.

Unless our elected officials in Washington do something about the Mexicans and others who come to this country feeling they can break our laws because they are doing jobs our own citizens won't do, then it is time we elect someone who feels what the majority of Americans feel: America without obedience to the laws of the land will not stand. If the senators and representatives want to keep their jobs, they had better start doing what they were elected to do: Uphold the laws of the land, and don't let illegals and unpatriotic employers break the law and go unchallenged.

I feel this is what most U.S. citizens want. Most citizens want our laws enforced, regardless of whom it affects.
