Stop the government spying

To the editor:

Here are portions of a letter to Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon:

We need your help for citizens who do not approve of state (and federal) spying on us. You can make great strides toward the governorship if you will again stand your ground against such Gestapo-type tactics as is now being implemented by the Missouri Department of Transportation in its contracting out the GPS tracking of cell phones ostensibly for the purpose of monitoring traffic patterns.

What follows next is tracking of citizens, much as occurred with the KGB in the former Soviet Union or in Germany under Adolf Hitler. I also envision our citizenry getting speeding tickets in the mail as a result of such cell-phone tracking. You must act promptly to stop the trampling of the Missouri Constitution, and I pledge to back you in your efforts, should you make the correct choices.

I also believe that you could take whatever steps are necessary to render the so-called, ill-named Patriot Act null and void in this state on constitutional grounds. The Bill of Rights has been ignored and trampled upon by the evil neo-conservatives backing this type of blatantly unconstitutional legislation while hypocritically and simultaneously not guarding our borders against illegal immigration.

This insults the intelligence of every law-abiding citizen while letting illegal non-citizens roam about unchecked and off the hook. Deportation of illegal aliens should be done immediately using the resources of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Missouri National Guard.
