Freshman guard Al Young scored a game-high 25 points as host Central defeated St. Louis Northwest Academy of Law 67-51.

Central trailed 15-11 after one period, but outscored their opponents 36-24 over the next two quarters to take control of the game.

Garan Evans added 15 points while Jamal Cox had 14 points for Central (12-7). Andre Statam recorded nine rebounds.

Barrion Jones paced Northwest with 19 points while Damarkis Gary contributed 12 points.

Alayah Cooper-Johnson had 14 points, grabed 17 rebounds and recorded three steals for Central (8-12) while Kelly Morton added 12 points.

Katie Williams tallied 11 rebounds and three blocks to assist the Tigers in the win.

Emily Secrist scored a game-high 20 points -- including six 3-pointers -- for the Kougars (4-13).
