The Woodland boys cross country team wrapped up its season with a 12th-place finish at the Class 2 state meet Saturday in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Thomas Grindstaff led the way for the Cardinals, placing 38th in 18 minutes, 2.26 seconds.
Springfield Catholic won the boys state title with 67 points, followed by Herculaneum (81) in second and Strafford (88) in third.
Cheyenne Wells led the way in the girls' race. She finished 34th in 21:41.88.
Fatima's girls team finished with 37 points and was crowned the state champion while Herculaneum (44) took second and Bowling Green (116) placed third.
