Ashley Runion had the assist on Bauer's goal, and Bauer then assisted on Schlick's game-winner. Mabel Velarde provided a two-goal cushion 5 minutes later when she deposited a pass from Katie Snelson.

Southeast outshot UMKC 23-6 and had a 10-2 edge in corner kicks.
